This day is dedicated to the discovery of this charming city: Cascais. Once a fisherman's town, it was transformed by the Portuguese aristocracy into a summer resort area, with its luxurious villas and extravagant places. Today it is a prosperous city full of charm, an ideal destination to escape the big city and enjoy the parks, the wonderful beaches and its vibrant little streets. The coastline, with its breathtaking cliffs, immerses us in a landscape still preserved from human activity.
Our Itinerary will take us to Boca do Inferno, Casa da Guia... the most western point of the European continent!
Comfortably installed in my van Combi, let's discover together the beauty of the refreshing hills of the Serra de Sintra. Exuberant palaces, rugged cliffs overlooking the tumultuous ocean... Sintra looks like something out of a fairy tale! After visiting the amazing Monserrate Palace and its garden, we leave the tourist agitation to reach the beautiful villages of Colares and Azenhas do Mar. Situated on a cliff facing the ocean, take time to enjoy a walk through the beautiful streets. Admire the rugged coastline on your way to Cabo Da Roca. Surrounded by the natural park of Sintra-Cascais, we are at the most western point of the European continent. The road will continue to Praia do Guincho, an ideal spot for a photo stop. On the way back we will cross the lovely town of Cascais and follow the seaside until we reach Lisbon.
It's with an authentic 1970 Combi van that you are going to live an amazing experience. Get your cameras ready for this day! After crossing the spectacular 25th of April bridge, we go to Cape Espichel, where the raw nature is always striking. We then travel to Sesimbra along the famous N379, a mythical and picturesque road in Portugal that crosses part of the Serra da Arrábida. This natural park of 10,800 hectares is bordered on one side by the mountain whose highest point, the Pico do Formosinho, rises to 501 meters, and on the other by a landscape of exceptional beauty. Before arriving in Setubal, we will make a stop at the Sao Filipe castle which offers an incredible view of the city.
